We are getting so excited for the big day and hope you will be able to join us for a fun filled weekend.
We are still working on finalizing the plans for the weekend, but are hoping for guests to arrive in Tamarindo either Wednesday or Thursday. We would like to plan some group activities such as a canopy tour (zipline) and a catamaran sunset cruise but are curious as to how many of you would be interested in participating in either or both of the activities. We will have to arrange this before the trip and give a head count. You can sign the guest book on the wedding website to let me know if you are interested in the activities, and we will also include some information in the invitation when it goes out, hopefully by mid-February. But for now, here is an estimated itinerary for the weekend:
6/30/11, Thursday: Welcome gathering at a local bar during the evening
7/1/11, Friday: Possible zipline/canopy tour in the morning. Please sign the guest book to let us know if you are interested in this. We will also include information in the invitation since we will have to book this before the trip. Estimated cost is $55 per person.

7/1/11, Friday: Rehearsal dinner during the evening at a local restaurant. All are invited.
7/2/11, Saturday: Wedding ceremony at 4:00 at Sueno del Mar on Playa Langosta. Reception, dinner, and dancing to follow at Seasons restaurant in Tamarindo. Transportation will be provided from the ceremony to the reception.
7/3/11, Sunday: Possible catamaran sunset cruise with food and open bar. Please sign the guest book to let us know if you are interested in this. We will also include information in the invitation since we will have to book this before the trip. Estimated cost is $75 per person. http://bluedolphinsailing.com/trips.html
7/4/11: Head home or head to your next destination
We can't wait and hope you are as excited as we are!

Our flights are booked!
Matt and I have made our flight arrangements! We will be flying into Liberia and then flying out of San Jose on 7/14. This will give us some time to explore other areas of Costa Rica including Monteverde, Arenal, and Manuel Antonio for the honeymoon.
Let us know when you flights are booked. As I mention on the wedding website, the Liberia airport is much closer to Tamarindo (only 45 minutes away), and we felt this was worth the additional cost, but do what is best for your budget/time balance. Let us know what you decide though so we can help you get to Tamarindo.
Please note that if you are flying out of San Jose, you will likely have to leave Tamarindo the night before your flight and stay the night somewhere closer to the airport. This is due to the travel time to the airport. You must get to the airport at least 3 hours before your flight departs, but you may want to give yourself additional time. Most of the flights back into the US leave in the morning, so to be safe, you should be in San Jose the night before. Please note there will be a $26 departing tax that you can pay at the airport or take care of before you arrive at the airport.
